That all intertwined to make the book even more interesting. If you are a mystery reader that enjoys the ancient historical settings, then I highly recommend Marie’s debut novel. Dream big, pray, celebrate. There are short histories and commentary about the different designers, but it's mainly about the pictures. Better still- buy the book on the same subject by Wiers. I enjoy stories that include witchcraft and this series contain some very interesting characters . I couldn't wait to read a book in her voice and learn more about her past. Some Youtube clips that I just had to dig up after reading about them from Amy's perspective:SNL Sarah Palin rap: https://youtube.com/watch?v=cG1g5qvgtSg2011 Emmy's bit: https://youtube.com/watch?v=RyFyJqx1lpc2009 Emmy's bit: https://youtube.com/watch?v=-jSk8yzlm94I'm glad to say I was not disappointed at all. Enemies are around every corner and truly nothing is as it seems in Delphi at the time. One of Quill and Quire's Books of the Year 2007: "Shivers and chills in an Anishinabe setting refreshingly smart humour." (Patty Lawlor Quill and Quire)Teens who devour vampire fiction will enjoy this unusual slant on the oft-told legend. (Jan Chapman VOYA)A vampire story like no other. (The Canadian Children's Book Centre Best Books for Kids & Teens)Michael Wyatt's illustrations for the graphic novel are rich in tone, and his spare use of the colour red lends an eerie hue to the character of L'ErrantBut when 16-year-old Tiffany discovers her father is renting out her room, she’s deeply upset. But Tiffany has other things on her mind: her new boyfriend is acting weird, disputes with her father are escalating, and her estranged mother is starting a new life with somebody else. Sure, their guest is polite and keeps to himself, but he’s also a little creepy. The mysterious Pierre L’Errant is actually a vampire, returning to his tribal home after centuries spent in Europe. Nothing ever happens on the Otter Lake reservation. Little do Tiffany, her father, or even her astute Granny Ruth suspect the truth. There, in the midnight woods, a chilling encounter with L’Errant changes everything for both of them. Fed up and heartsick, Tiffany threatens drastic measures and flees into the bush. A mesmerizing blend of Gothic thriller and modern coming-of-age novel, The Night Wanderer is unlike any other vampire story.- Title : The Night Wanderer
