The "Puerto Rican" turn, a.k.a. It is a good book to teach from because the overall coverage of topics is good. F. Derry was hounded to death by the medical establishment, stripped of his medical license, and died shortly thereafter. This book was a recommended text for my graduate course in "Electronic Design Automation". Extremely well written and insightful. It’s an interesting time of change in the Greek world and I’m so glad that Savage chose to set her novel during this time; it just wouldn’t be nearly as good without the societal conflicts. Highly recommended.. You can tell because the trestle on page 139 was only used by the Milwaukee Road and the Union Pacific, on page 141 the line is electrified (NP didn't have any electrified line), and on page 151 not only is the line electrified but the train is also shown clearly approaching the tunnel at the summit of Snoqualmie Pass (the route of the Milwaukee Road). When counterfeit prescription medicine started turning up in the nation's supply and threatening some of the sickest and weakest patients, Katherine Eban went in search of the story. What she found was an unlikely and irresistible group of heroes-five aging South Florida investigators who dubbed themselves the Horsemen of the Apocalypse and held their meetings at Hooters. Working around the clock on cases no one els

PRAISE FOR DANGEROUS DOSES"In a style reminiscent of some of the best detective storytellers, Eban takes us breathlessly through robberies, back-room deals, cluttered and dirty warehouses, crooked dealers, sociopathic profiteers, shell companies, and state and federal laws so porous that convicted felons can become prescription-drug brokers."--The Boston Globe"A riveting account of a 2 1/2-year investigation in South Florida As Eban recounts, the scam was broken wide open by a 'ragtag' group of seasoned investigators who seem as if they were cast right out of an episode of The Wire."--Bernadine Healy, U.S. News & World Report
