You can tell because the trestle on page 139 was only used by the Milwaukee Road and the Union Pacific, on page 141 the line is electrified (NP didn't have any electrified line), and on page 151 not only is the line electrified but the train is also shown clearly approaching the tunnel at the summit of Snoqualmie Pass (the route of the Milwaukee Road).
